Tranquility in Kerala in eco-friendly coconut lagoon

The only way to reach the famous Kerala coconut lagoon hideaway is by boat.

Sounds a bit like an adventure and it is. You can take in quiet backwaters of Kerala, get a view of the fabulous wildlife and rich tropical vegetation along the way. Arriving at the coconut lagoon, quickly tells why the resort was named so guarded. Located in an abandoned coconut plantation, is equal to the glorious title.

Accommodation at the resort overlooking the Bay comes in the form of the traditional wooden Keralan House known as tharawads. Some are traditionally built, other more modern, but all the highest standards have been built by craftsmen of local teachers. We stayed in a beautifully authentic double history retreat to cool dark washed floors and walls fully wooden bed with canopy above.

The oldest date residencies at the beginning of 1700 and property is located in the area so masterfully described in winning novel of the Booker Prize of Arundhati Roy, the God of small things. So lush and relaxing, cools in moments of walk to the beautiful gardens, especially Butterfly Garden with some brighter and larger butterflies seen.

Ayurvedic treatments are deservedly demand, including a series of alternative therapies, physical therapy, and yoga. Although if you are feeling more active, sports aquatic are available including fishing and boating.

We followed the head of Paul McCartney, when stayed here with Heather Mills fear and took long time cruise which was divine suspension. Otherwise, you can choose to experience par excellence of the backwaters and opt for a cruise on a traditional wood and straw Kettuvallam - or houseboat for us mere mortals.

We were so impressed with our tour of eco-friendly practices developed by the surprising CGH Earth group. As the owners of one of socially responsible and visionaries Boutique Hotel groups the India invite travelers to retire in affordable luxury that embraces the local culture and the environment in a way that is so impressive.

You can not help but be enchanted by a stay in this beautiful place. Service is lovely and the food is delicious and authentic. Lagoon of coconut punctuates his trip to the India with a calm that is the signature of Kerala.
