Walt Disney World Port Orleans Riverside Resort was designed to look like a community rural Louisiana. Located in the Sassagoula River, a visit not there that goes back in time to a simpler, more slow life form. Yet the resort encourages families to relax and enjoy one another, while enjoying all that offers resource.
Rooms
The Disney Port Orleans Riverside is divided into two different parishes: rustic Alligator swamp and the gentle Bend Magnolia.
Alligator Bayou
The lodges in Alligator Bayou resemble Louisiana southern rural area also known as Cajun country houses. The lodges are structures of wood with Tin or tile roofs, and there are hand carved Hickory beds in each room. The lodges in Alligator Bayou are all without lifts, so guests who have trouble with stairs must request rooms on the ground floor.
Magnolia Bend
Scattered in Magnolia Bend mansions were built to emulate the stately homes of plantations of the South. They have large, radical stairs and stately columns in that period and rooms have a picturesque country charm.
Almost all rooms at the Disney Port Orleans Riverside is a standard double, although there are a small number of double beds and all rooms are for non-smokers. In Alligator Bayou, one of the double beds in each room boasts a nest of withdrawal. Guests can request for connecting rooms, but can not be guaranteed.
Both places have the same comforts: TV with mainly Disney, air-conditioning cable channels, and a mini refrigerator. Other amenities include a hairdryer, an iron and an ironing board as well as a coffee maker and a safe in the room. Baby cot or bed rails are available upon request and payment of a fee, in-room broadband connection is available.
For customers with special needs, there are a number of ground floor rooms modified for disability access. In order to apply for one of these modified rooms, a guest should call resort much before your visit to ensure fully satisfy your needs.
Guest toiletries
Disney Port Orleans Riverside check-in time is 3: 00 pm, but make a special effort to get early travelers settled them more quickly. There is no on-site child care, but offer in-room babysitting, which must be booked 24 hours in advance. A Concierge Desk is located in the main lobby of the Colonel's cotton mill building. Valet dry cleaning is available, and there are several self-service laundry facilities located in premises Vending.
Dining room
There are two thematic restaurants of Louisiana in the Disney's Port Orleans Riverside. Riverside Mill Court food offers affordable traditional American cuisine in an environment of cotton mill. Boatwright dining hall is a luxurious, located in a restored the Sassagoula River boat workshop restaurant and offers United States and southern cuisine.
Open from 4: 00 p.m. to midnight, cosy room of Canary seed River serves cold beer, tasty snacks and drinks of mixed style South. Every Wednesday to Saturday 8: 30 - midnight "Ye Haa" Bob Jackson performs his piano show family-friendly exhibits.
For guests wishing to dine in privacy and tranquility of your room, the resort allows that pizza deliveries.
Activities
The center of activity in the Disney Port Orleans Riverside is the Isle of man Ol '. This acre 3.5 wooded island has an area of immense swimming pool with waterfalls and a long slide curve of 95-FT. There is a forested area, large playground and the Fishin'Ol', which has a catch and release policy bore. Several types of boats can be rented for use in the Sassagoula River and guests can rent bicycles or Surrey bikes. Internal activities include purchases in stores in the resort or playing arcade of medicine show.
If it takes an early morning 'Ol' Fishin hole or a hot afternoon roaming in the Sassagoula, families that visit the Disney Port Orleans Riverside will be able to find many different ways to slow down, to return to nature and to reconnect.
